Delete your account

You can delete your when account and the data tied to it at any time, either from inside the app or by emailing us. You do not need to reinstall the app to make the request.

In the app

Open Settings, then Account, then Delete Account, and confirm. Deletion starts immediately and there is no separate request to wait on.

By email

If you no longer have the app installed, email support@when-dating.com from the address on your when account with the subject "Delete my account". We verify that the request comes from the account holder before acting on it, and we reply when the deletion is done.

What gets deleted

• Your profile, name, date of birth, and location.
• Your photos, and the face template used for verification.
• Your personality test answers and results.
• Your matches, likes, dates, and messages.
• Your device tokens, so notifications stop.

Everything above is removed within 30 days of the request.

What is kept, and why

• Safety records, and the face templates of accounts banned for a safety violation, so that a ban cannot be undone by signing up again.
• Transaction records, for as long as tax and accounting law requires.

Cancel your subscription first

Deleting your account does not cancel a when+ subscription, because billing is handled by Apple or Google rather than by us. Cancel it in the App Store or Play Store before you delete, or it keeps renewing. Steps are on our Support page.
